Message from the AC
One of the most rewarding aspects of our school community is witnessing our students confidently advocate for their own growth and success. From initiating requests to change AP courses, to proposing and starting clubs that resonate with their passions, our students are embracing self-advocacy in inspiring ways. These young leaders have shown that asking for what they need is not only a pathway to achieving their goals but a skill that will serve them well throughout life.
What truly stands out is how our students approach these conversations—with professionalism, patience, and respect. They bring thoughtful reasoning to their requests, and, in doing so, show an understanding of responsibility, planning, and accountability. This positive, proactive approach is something we are immensely proud to support.
In a world that increasingly values initiative and adaptability, our students are setting an example for peers and adults alike. They increasingly remind us that self-advocacy is more than just speaking up; it's about articulating one's needs and taking ownership of one's journey.

Parent Involvement Needed for MSA
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As part of our midterm review for our accreditation with MSA (Middle States Association), we are continually striving to improve our school. One aspect of this is to review our school plans and evidence for these plans to ensure that we have surpassed the MSA standards. We are looking for parents and students to join us on November 23, 12:30-3:00 PM and on January 18, 12:30-3:00 PM to review the plans and evidence. If you are interested in participating in our school improvement and can attend both meetings, please contact Torre Derr (torre-derr@astana.qsi.org) to join the QSI Astana MSA Planning Team. Thank you for your willingness to support our push for excellence.

November/December Career Awareness
In an effort to increase career awareness for our students, each month will have a theme and each class their own career within that theme. Teachers will have resources and I would love to have some guest speakers talk to the kids about their job. If we need to find translation we can also do that. If you know of anyone that would be willing to speak students, please fill out this form and I will follow up with you: November/December Career Awareness Volunteering
