Chili Cook-off and Quiz Night!
Dear QSI community,
We are excited about our upcoming Chili Cook-off and Quiz Night event on Friday, February 09, 6 - 8pm. The school will provide silverware, cups, bowls, etc, but it would be helpful if you brought your own serving utensil.

5:30-6:00- Mix and mingle time
Please bring your chili or food to the cafeteria. There will be labeled spots for the chili, as well as labels for categories for the food contributions.
6:00-6:30- It’s time to eat!
We will be eating in the Great Hall. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite chili!
6:30-7:30- Quiz Time!
7:40-7:55- Awards will be given out for the best chili as well as the winners of Quiz Night.

Literacy Week
Literacy Week this year falls on the week of February 19th to the 23rd. We have many fun events planned, and we are inviting parents, teachers, and staff to participate in a special event called Stories Around the World!
We started this event during Literacy week last year, and we are looking to improve and expand it this year.
To participate in this event, you would bring in a story in a language other than English and read it to a group of students! When choosing a book, it's best if the reading time is around 5 minutes. Your time slots would be flexible to meet your availability. The best time for you to come in and read would be between 8:30am and 10:45am, so if you're able to come during that time frame, that's fantastic.

What: A new and exciting musical opportunity!
Who: QSI Students, 12-18 years old

Why: The QSI Astana Choir will participate in QSI Worldwide Music Festival (Almaty, May 24th and 25th, 2024) as part of the QSI Combined Choir.
