Message from the Director
Dear QSI Astana Community,
Welcome to the penultimate edition of The Howling Wolf! As we approach the end of this quintile, I’d like to draw your attention to the many exciting events leading up to our well-deserved winter break from December 16th to January 7th. In particular, we hope to see everyone at our Winter Concert on December 6th from 3:00 to 6:30 PM. This event will feature performances by all of our talented music students, celebrating their hard work so far this year. The evening will also include a holiday bazaar with vendors from around the city—perfect for picking up holiday gifts—as well as new spirit wear merchandise sold by our PSG. Let’s come together to support our students and enjoy the festive season.
Thank you for your continued support!

NHS Winter Food Drive
We are proud to share that our National Honor Society (NHS) students are leading a Food Drive in partnership with the Red Crescent, running through November 29! This student-led initiative has a goal of collecting 200kg of non-perishable food items to support those in need. You can help us reach this goal by dropping off donations in the Great Hall, where you'll also find a thermometer display tracking our progress. If we reach our goal, the NHS has planned a special surprise celebration for everyone! Let’s support our NHS students in this charitable endeavor and make a positive impact this holiday season. Thank you for your generosity and encouragement!

🎄🎁 Bring the Holiday Joy to a Child with Special Needs or Children from Low Income Families 🎁🎄
We would like to announce the start of our annual Angel Tree charity event! Each year, with the help of the Nur Alem Foundation, QSI organizes gifts for children from low-income families and those with special needs.
🎁 This year, we need 20 gifts and 500 candy bags, and we hope for your support.
🎄 You can pick an angel with a gift request from the special Christmas tree in the Great Hall.
Details:
ℹ️ Please inform Ms. Dasha which angel you have chosen.
🎁 Purchase the requested gifts (details on the back of the angel).
↪️ Return the gift with the angel attached to Ms. Dasha by Friday, December 13.
🤍 Thank you in advance for your generosity!

November/December Career Awareness
In an effort to increase career awareness for our students, each month will have a theme and each class their own career within that theme. Teachers will have resources and I would love to have some guest speakers talk to the kids about their job. If we need to find translation we can also do that. If you know of anyone that would be willing to speak students, please fill out this form and I will follow up with you: November/December Career Awareness Volunteering
